I'm 15. I thought a lot about fulfilling my dream, this one. But my other dream is to feed a family. I just can't see a chance to do that through recording arts. So many people are doin it, and it doesn't pay off in Iceland. And I don't want to move.

Nah, I've just given this a loooooot of thought. Doin this professionally would be silly at the place I'm at. It would be reckless of me to do what I want and don't bring in any money (doin hip-pop isn't an option), and never achieve-ing something.

Drop out of school to pursue beatmakin? Everybody and their grandma is makin beats, it might be a dream of mine, but for how long? 1 week? Waking up, makin beats, sleeping? That wouldn't work my man.

I'mma make music. I love that shit. Love it. But a career? I don't think there's a chance for me to do that.

Besides, when I grow up. You probably have a mic that mixes everything in a split second and a MPC that makes a beat in a split second. Hehe.

thats a real defeatist attitude my man. It sounds like you don't wanna make beats for a living in the first place, but i mean anyone can do anything if they work hard enough at something.

Being good or not, I don't think I could make a living out of makin beats.

So many people are doing this. It's not like I'm gonna produce for... Madlib or something. I'm in Iceland. It aint possible.

Looks good for you though, I mean f*cking 13 years old with a MPC 1000. Shii man, thats real good. Mastering that, at a early age. You got something for real. (I haven't heard your beats tho)

im currently studying a music/business degree(major in music though) at university while recording/writing and performing on the side.

I think it works well, because i get access to alot of musical equipment and knowledge, which will ultimately benefit me in the future,,

u should check out IDA in upstate NY.......

ill school for production and music business....

they even have a course entitled MPC 101, they go through the manual chapter by chapter, and on the last day u gotta make a beat.
