Please someone help me: Midi

Peace forum family,
I am in disperate need of help. I have 1k and a triton studio, I want to midi where my mpc is the master and triton slave. When I hook up the midi cables mpc in-triton out/ triton out-mpc in, and turn the local to off on the triton. I get no sounds on the triton but only on the mpc. I would like to play the triton for basslines etc, but I get no sound when I record on the mpc. Could some please help me..... am I doing something wrong

Seems to me you have everything setup right but you are forgetting one thing. You need to connect the AUDIO OUTS from your Triton to your mixer in order to hear the sounds from it. The MPC is only sequencing the MIDI DATA not actual audio. Does that solve your problem? If you dont have an mixer you need to buy one or find a way to be able to hear both the mpc and triton play at the same time.

Thanks for you help, and knowledge. I have everyhing hooked up to my DAW ( I dont know if thats the problem, or do I need an actual mixer) I hear the sounds from the triton coming out of my daw, but hear nothing when recording from the mpc. I took a look at the forum recommended but it was just people making fun of each other, instead of helping. I tried turning the local on, on the triton, still no playback on the mpc. Am I still doing somthing wrong.

ok tell us a bit more to narrow down your problem: do you have the right midi channel set in the main window? did you turn the track from drum to midi? is the track unmuted? do you have to switch the track in your daw to monitor? can you the triton sounds when hitting a pad? do you record into your daw or do you us the sequencer in the mpc? have you checked your mpc midi settings? checked the tritons midi settings? who is slave, who is master? you have three sequencers, which are you using? did you use the search function of this board and read your manuals?
turn local control OFF on the triton - you only need this if you want to play your triton directly into your daw.

Peace its me again,
Lets see, I have the midi channel set on 1a on the mp, changed from drum to midi, no I don't belive I have to switch the track in my daw to monitor I hear both on sepreate tracks. I hear triton sounds when I hit the pads, I want to use the mpc as the sequencer. I have midi in mpc-triton out, triton in-mpc out. I belive or I should say Im not sure if the settings on the triton is set to midi( that might be the problem, how do you do that). I read in the maual ( please correct me if im wrong) swith to INT in the sequencer page when you want to record midi. I want mpc to master and triton be slave and record directly into the daw. I have done countless hours of searches on this board and many others. I exuasted myself reading both manuals and still doing so. When I turn local control off, not sounds come out the triton when I press the keys, but can when hitting the pads on mp. When I turn it back on I can play the keys but cant hear any playback on what I have recorded on the triton.
