so I made a song... now what?

Hey, I made a song in the mpc of 4 sequences, now I want to make it an actual mp3 or wav...

Through MIDI (M-Audio Firewire Audiophile Soundcard) into my computer, do I just click record in the software (such as SoundForge or Audition) and click play on the mpc and it will record the whole song, sequence after sequence?

I looked in the manual to find out about exporting the Song through MIDI, but no luck.

Help me outt, thanks.

If you have your sequences done you need to go in SONG MODE to arrange your sequences. Once u have that done u will have one big sequence and thats the actual SONG. Are you tracking individually or as a two track?

when i said i made a song in the mpc of 4 sequences, i meant, I ARRANGED my 4 sequences in SONG MODE to create my 'song'. What I'd like to do now is to export it into my computer, so, in the end I can save it as a wav or mp3 file track.

How do I transfer what I have in SONG MODE to my computer, whether I have to record each individual track or the song as a whole?

Just resample your outputs of the mpc while playing your song and you end up with one big wav file that of your song. This wav file can be transferred to your computer over the usb connection. See that wasn't so complicated was it ?

Well if the song is complete either record it as a two track, track it out for mixing purposes, or resample it.

Record
Save/Export as .wav or mp3

p.s. I needed to know if u wanted a two stereo or tracked version but now that u said u just want an .wav or mp3 then tracking isnt in your mind.

unless you can't read. but you can write, so i'm assuming otherwise.

save teh whole song as a sequence then go to record mode and change it to Main Outs.

hit record on the screen, play on the mpc.

boom.

or record into your soundcard to a audio editor

I don't understand two tracks and tracked version, what does that mean?
