well I got a answer for you, but I'm no expert. You can sequence Reason from your MPC 4000, by sending a midi clock signal to Reason to start when you hit play from your MPC.

I don't see why you can't. I use a roland a-70 midi'd to a motu mtp a/v. I access my mpc 4000 via the motu software or through cubase. One way that I've learned is to take an audio sequence or track made in cubase or soundforge, save it as a data file, then load it into the 4000. For realtime sequencing it depends on how you've got your rig setup. Now I'm not sure if you're talking about sequencing or sampling?

Im talking about realtime sequencing...just as if i was using my fantom keyboard and the mpc together. i would sequence the fantoms sounds into the mpc. Im really trying to eliminate all the boards i got. I have a shit load of software synth. does dany1 know how to make this happen? My direct email is [email protected] n thanks people

I'm :?. It seems like your delima is based on getting your controller to setup within reason. I'm not familiar with reason so I can't elaborate.

The MPC 4K could basically control anything, just think about the chain in command and who is in charge...

You are using the controller MIDI out to trigger sounds within Reason, correct?

Now to incorporate the 4K into the picture, one of it's MIDI out ports needs to connect with the Controller MIDI in, considering it's the primary destination for those MIDI note/controller messages...

Can you see the picture?

I have a rack full of Modules, plus a couple of keyboards/controllers, and when I'll have the MPC 4K, everything will be logged onto paper because it could get pretty darn complex with the patching/routing...
