3 THINGS..FIRST I JUST SPENT MAD MONEY ON BUYING THIS MPC 2000XL AND THIS TRITON LE WORKSTATION AND I HOOK UP THE MIDI IN AND OUTS LIKE I TRIED MPC IN..TRITON OUT..TRITON IN..MPC OUT..AND IM TRYING TO TRANSFER SOUNDS FROM TRITON TO MUH EMPTY MPC..AND ITS NOT WORKING..DO I NEED A MODULE TO DO THIS OR AM I GHOOD..AND JUST DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOIN?..2 I SPENT 850 ON DA MPC..(USED)..I CALLED THE GUITAR CENTER AND HE SAID i WASTED MY MONEY..i SHOULD HAVE JUST BOUGHT A MPC 1000..ITS BETTER BECAUSE ITS NEWER..WHAT YALL THINK...3 DO YALL THINK WITH THE EQUPIMENT I GOT..IM ON MY WAY TO HAVING A DECENT STUDIO..OR DID I F UP?..HOLLA..

0. Welcome

1. What it sounds like you are trying to do is midi triton and mpc.

mpc midi in -> triton midi out. mpc midi out -> triton midi in.

master = int sync.
slave = external sync.

Go to tweakheadz.com and read up on midi. It will help you GREATLY.

2. No you didn't waste your money, he's a nerdball, and you should not deal with him anymore. GC is good, he is bad, avoid that herb.

3. Yes you are fine, learn more about what you have and you are golden.

You'll need to use the audio outs of your Triton if you expect to hear any sound from it. MIDI cables do not carry audio

What are the speakers hooked to ?

You'll also need to both load samples into the MPC and have the MPC outs routed to a Mixer, amplifier, and speakers....
