yeah swing is a pain in the ass to figure out. But the purpose is the make it not sound quantized. I cant figure it out- I just record without quantize.

Swing is hittin "right" it's you who is not happy with the placement of those hits. Learn your swing note placement. There is no common swing pattern, just play with it and feel it out.

There's no "make my swing right buton"

One of my techniques to using swing is to either set your time code resolution value to triplets or when it's straight value, use the swing %.

Here's a tune I wrote that's actually called "SWING'N" http://www.myspace.com/dbmusicalproductions. The fore mentioned resolutions were used on this track, check it out.

Are you talking about the quantise on playback or the delay in the sound when you hit the pads?

because they are two different things entirely.

If you're hitting the pads and using note repeat but are not getting a steady playback then maybe check your sample start cycles (truncation of the sample).

But if it's a playback issue, then select 16th quantise, play on the measures then use the swing feature and adjust to taste.

If you want to get detailed about this you can enter grid edit and delay your hits from there for finer tuning.

Or am I pissing on the wrong leg here?
