i have an mpc 2000 and i put some sounds in but now cant get them back im wondering how can i get the sounds back on the pads

Did you power it off and on again then notice this problem? Whatever you did in the first place, retrack and do it again. MPC's don't have internal storage (except for the 2500 & 4k). They do however work using ram so you'll have to reload stuff from a zip, cd-rom, or HD or whatever your storage medium is. Once you have a desired soundset loaded, you'll have to save this (setup) to your storage medium so that you won't lose it and you'll be able to reload it for future reference. IF YOU HAVE A MANUAL, THOROUGHLY READ IT FIRST. You'll get help from the forums but it's not the same as getting it from the manufacturer.

Remeber to SAVE ALL for either programs(thats your sounds) or Sequences(thats your beats-they will not play if no sounds are loaded that were used to create them.)
Real easy and simple if not hit up aim or yahoo to get more help.

p.s. Sometimes the Manufacture manual can suck so it aint always helpful with everything.

iight i dont have a manuel and when i try to load some sound it tells me not enough memeory so im guessin the sounds are in the mpc but i cant find them

i'm readin the manual RIGHT now for the mpc 1000... it might be the same for you guy..
aight jus go to mode/load or save and it should tell you how much memory you have available.. if its gone or almost all used up then you most def got some sounds loaded up... what i do is go to mode/trip and jus scroll the wheel and it goes thru what samples is loaded in.. or go to screen where you assign samples to pad,s for me its mode/program and try assignin samples for me its jus scroll wheel and it goes thru what samples are loaded in..

i use elmers glue ... if you take your sample put just a touch of glue on it
it will stick to any pad you put it on ..
for a more permanent fix try krazy glue

but i love the metal chassis of the XL dosent feel like a toy
