is it possible to connect the my synth keyboard to my mpc and also to my pc (through my mpc)?....i want it so that when i record a midi sequence on the mpc it also records it on cubase too so that when i play the song back on cubase it will trigger my keyboard from there....

thanks

if you want this to happen you need to have cubase be the MIDI master..
for timing and also sequencing ... i believe you need to go to global midi
settings in your cubase tool bar(if i remeber correctly)
i dont use cubase that often so the details are a bit foggy
but if you have the MPC why not sequence the synth with that on 1-16a
and then sequence your PC on 1-16b this way you can use the MPC as the main sequencer for your board as well as whatever softsynth you would like to run IMHO its much easier to work with the MPC as a sequencer
than fumbling about with a mouse and what not.

hope this helps

I have Cubase and I use the MPC as the master for it and my boards as well.

Slave the MPC to the MAC/PC.

I was just agreeing with sinister and saying that with the virtual synths/instruments you'll need a midi controller to trigger the sound and record midi signals, why not use the MPC as a master???
