Am I on the right track?

Okay I want to hook up my MPC2000 to my Emu XtremeLead-1, my Korg ER-1, my ProteusX desktop sound module and my Mbox2 together. Am I on the right track to hook it up like below?

MPC OUT A -> Mbox2 In
Mbox2 Out -> MPC IN A

MPC OUT B -> XL-1 In
XL-1 Thru -> ER-1 In
ER-1 Thru -> ProX In
(Do I need to connect the Midi out of the ProX to the MPC IN B?)

I want to be able to sequence on the MPC, then record the audio into ProTools through the Mbox. And also, I would hook up the oudio outs of the modules to record the audio correct? Not the outs from the MPC?

looks like you got it all tightened up ova there homie...

and yes you need the audio outs from the modules to record there audio
you will need audio out of the MPC if you use it for drums or samples
and also for the metronome (if you use your MPC for sequencing)

but from reading your MIDI conns seems like you have them all right
its not absouletly neessary to have the prox going back into the MPC
but its a good idea

NOTE: with all those MIDI thru's be very carefull when making a beat youll have sound coming from modules you dont want if your not carefull
a good rule of thumb is if your gonna have more than 2 modules useing
MIDI thru you should look into a MIDI patch bay

How is answerin the difference between a patchbay and a multiple midi interface "giving me all the game?". Nothing personal, but how do you go from good advice, to "do research"? I'm not looking for "all the game" I try to find out as much out on my own as I can, and when I get to a problem where my "research" cant lead me to the answer, I ask a question to "experts" who can help me out. All I needed was clarification, not the "game". I mean how hard it is to just be like "Naw homie, don't waste your money on one of those interfaces, just get a patchbay like I said. Been there done that, trust." I'll make up my own mind from there, by doing the research. Everyone should know, music and your equipment and your workflow is as individual as we are, but it doesn't hurt to learn from other people. That's just my opinion so take it for what's it worth, just like you could have said to me in response to my question.

They're the same thing only slighty different in what you're trying to do.

because thas how you learn .... if you would have followed the links i gave you .. you would have came up with the same answer KO'LES gave you

is all the knowledge i have acquired over years of doin music ..
ill give up some but not all ..thas what i did.. i gave you a litle knowledge and IMHO its up to you to run with and expand upon what i gave you

im willing to bet in the time it took you to type that post you could have
followed those links and acquired a truck load of info on patch bays.

I guess you never had a question in your vast musical experience? Never was a little confused about your research? Never needed clarification on terms? You should know there's a big difference between book knowledge and "OJT" or "Street Knowledge". You shouldn't "offer" help if you're only gonna half ass it. I mean, seriously, telling me the difference between a patchbay and a interface is really givin up some super secret knowledge that only you posses that would help me out in this game and put me that much closer to signing a multi million dollar deal I mean this has gotten way off topic, so it's dead. Just remember at one point you didn't know the difference between a patchbay and an interface. You might have done the research to figure it out or you may have asked someone, and none of us were born with an mpc attached to the umbilical chord, some would argue different though.
