MPD-24 setup

I purchased a MPD-24 and need some help on the connections and setting for the computer. I have been back and forth with the support dept...
1. What are the computer setting to recognize the MPD in the USB format?
Reason that I ask is that I have been told that the MPD is basically plug and play.
2. Is there additional software (I am using cubase SL) that is recommended i.e. protools?

Any assistance provided would be a great help. I have had the MPD for two days and all it doing is loking nice.

If you installed the drivers and the unit has been recognized then it should just be a setting in Cubase to have it look at the MPD as your midi controller.
