How do I hook up my pc to the mpc? If this is possible can I download sequences to the pc instead of using the floppy?

Just run the audio outs of the MPC into the line input on the sound card of your PC.

then record the beat into your favorite recording program.

yup. thats it. there's no way for the computer to read your sequences. you have to record your music into the computer just like cap said.
