hello all, just got an mpc 1000 and tried to load some WAV samples onto it through the USB connect. got the samples into the mpc and on the auto load function, they are in there, I can preview them. now, where are they assigned to on the pads? do I do that manually somehow? please help - crushed and bewildered

they arent popping up in a program? that is why I can find them. are they mixed in with another preset program?

I can find them in the mode + trim page. now how do I get them to pads? I am about to smash his plastic box

you have to create a program yourself to use samples you made yourself.... the manual covers this pretty well.

I know you all think I am a real idiot, but I have been racking my brain for hours trying to find this shit. and no, the manual is very vague about wehre the sample is placed once you put it onto your memory card. thanks all

on page 58, chapter 12: PROGRAM, it lays it out step by step how to create a program and then assign samples to the pads, for that program.

the sample does not get placed anywhere just because you put it on your memory card.... you have to manually do this inside the MPC, or else create the program using software on your PC and then place the program on your card.... make sure to save your work before turning the MPC off...
