MPC or FL (yes i know its been asked 100 times before)

Sorry if some of these questions have been asked before but they all add to my overall decision of buying an MPC / or whether to continue with computer based production. Im fluent with FL but i want to get away from my pc screen once in a while. I might either purchase a 2000xl or a 2500.

- Many times i have heard people say that certain MPC's give the beats a better feel?, can someone confirm this for me.

- I make good use of FL's Compresser and Reverb effects, if i purchase an MPC will i have to splash out on buying these effects in hardware form??

-Can I use the sp404's effects for the MPC?

-This might seem daft but how easy is it pitch shift on either MPC so a loop fits into a bpm perfectly.

Am i better off just gettin a MPD24(if they are available yet in turnkey)/Trigger Finger??

the feel of the mpc is that it is a bit more loose than painting the patterns in the piano roll with fpc.

by using my mpc, i now either sequence in the mpc using fpc as a sound module, or if i decide to paint, i kind of have an idea of what an mpc pattern would "look" like, so i throw notes off to give it some swing.

as far as the effects, why not record the mpc performance into fl and use the fx instead of spending money on hardware fx? i make a song on the mpc, resample it to itself, transfer the wav files to fl studio and mix from there. or you can directly record the tracks from the mpc to fl.

not sure about the sp404. ive never used one.

i dont really like the pitch shifting on the mpc. i have a 1k and it might be better on the 25k or the xl. but i pitched a sample up 2 cents and it sounded like crap. so if i want something pitch shifted, i do it in fl and transfer it over.

if you get a mpd/trigger finger, you will still be stuck in front of your computer, which is what you said you wanted to get away from. i love my mp. its a lot of fun to use the built in sequencer and you can use it with fl. if you have the dough, i would suggest picking it up.

read my last posts, i've been using software for a while and just got an mpc.
