Ok, as the two use different file formats (as you already noted yourself), I guess you can't load either ones sound files into the other. You can only sample the one's output into the other.

If you sample 16bit output into the 60 it will definitely become 12bit and sound 12bit, no matter what.

If you sample the 12bit output of the 60 (which has been converted to an analog signal before of course, just like in the 3000 btw) in 16bit, it will sound very similar to what comes out of the 60, because 16bit is very accurate already; provided that you use a high enough sampling rate of course. But the 3000 will surely add some own character to it.
