okay a more in depth answer
a cd drive is nice for loading samples at a fast rate, but you can't write to the cd so you will still be stuck using floppies, therefore it would be more adavantageous to get a card reader. You can still convert your wav files to .snd using the MPC Editor for the "rapid loading" you seek.....plus you can write to the card reader. You also don't have to worry too much about the moving parts in the cdrom drive wearing out. You also can fit more on the card (pending on size) than you can on a cd.
