This has gotta be simple to do but please can someone tell me how I can change the way a sound is played so the pad needs to be held rather than just pressed. thanks.

this is covered in your manual, check the index for NOTE ON, ONE SHOT, POLY, etc.... also read up the section on PROGRAMS.

Click mode, program. Select the pad you want to fix. Move to highlight the sample on the left. Hit the window button. Change it from one shot to note on
