Whats up, I am just getting started in the producing scene and wanted to know if I should purchase the MPC4000 or if I should wait for a new model to come out. Any thoughts?

Just assess your needs. Me personally starting out I wouldn't get a 4000 casue it can be too much. My first was a MPC 2000XL. I didn't have a manual and I was able to start making tracks within minutes. Maybe even mess with the 1000 its cheaper! Don't just jump straight into a 4000 just because.

READ and FULLY UNDERSTAND FIRST. If after reading that guide and u still seemed interested in music go for purchasing. If u cant seem to read through the guide or u just dont find it appealing to read. RETHINK going into MUSIC or atleast DONT spend a bunch of MONEY on gear.

try out the hardware first in a store or friend's house. preferably with someone who understands how the device works and can show you its capabilities.... if that is not possible make sure you fully understand the return policy before purchasing!
