From what ive researched it looks good...looks like this computer will work out 4 what im trying to do...as far as making beats...but sum of u guys have much more experience in the game....im trying to get sum advice.....im pretty much running cubase le (later on maybe a newer one) and soundforge with this computer...my other just fuked up real bad (dont buy a compaq)..........im gonna run my mpc 1k,keyboard and turntable with this.......this computer is about 2800 but im getting it for 800...sounds like a great deal but only if it works 4 my music well.what u guys think?

if you are going to use this strictly for making music and maybe surfing to research stuff on the net, I would try out a dual core Mac Mini...

for this stuff, that is the way to go...

just my opinion.

$800 for that computer is a rip-off. save a few more hundreds and get a state of the art machine. for about $1100 you could get a brand new dual core lappy. the P4 processor running at 1.6 you cant even run reason 3.0 with 5 combi patches.

i would not pay more than $450 for a P4 running at 1.6.

p.s. what looks like gold is not always gold.

why get an iMac? i love Apple computers but man, half the cost is the monitor with an iMac. might as well get a laptop if you are buying a screen from Apple. you can get a decent MacMini and find a good monitor locally and still have cash leftover for some kind of audio interface.....

i might as well get the imac my brother just told me we get 17% off all apple computers :shock: ..and im feeling it so far...that should take care of my extra stuff i will be adding 2 my computer like the warrany or anything else

That computer is $$$ for that processor. Are you a student?
