Ok to create a entire track with the MPC 500 is it done in parts ? Meaning when i start this is what i do i select UNUSED track, then change the tap tempo , then hit track , then hit params .Once all that is done i hit play and record .Now this is all fine but it seems im just recording a little snippet . So do i have to follow these steps continuously and keep creating new tracks EX.. TR1,TR2,ETC.. ? then put them together or am i going about it all wrong . Dont get me wrong i read the manual that came with the MPC daily but the way the manual is set up i just dont understand it that well . Any help would be appreciated .. thanks .. PEACE

U seam to be on the right track.

after U have put toghter a few loops in sequences.

Enter song mode ( mode)button + Song

this is here where U chain togheter all your sequences into a song.

Example:

One seq ( IntrO)

the next seq ( Chorous/Hook)

and the next ( Verse 1)

the next ( Bridge) and so on and so on until U have a finished song...

Good luck!

Also, keep all instruments on their own tracks i.e track 1 chops, track 2 kick drum, track 3 snare, track 4 hi hats....etc. This will give you more control of your sequences when it comes to muting and editing. :D

hey this is usuful information here,
sicne I'm getting MPC500 soon
and I'm also wondering how you can create whole track out of it.

Post your song when you are done.
I'd really like to hear a track done all with 500.
