I finally got my MPC1000 and Love it!!!

Whats up everyone My names Wes Im 22 yrs old and i just purchased a mpc1000(black). Im tottaly new to the mpc world and i started playing around with the sounds that came with the mpc. i already figured out how to sequence a track, sample , do some pitch changes and time stretch. i cannot belive how easy this machine is to work on. I personally thought i wouldnt have a clue how to use it. My question is When i record the patterns for instance on the hi hats i play it and it sounds the way i want it to, but when i play the track back it is tottaly different? the same goes with the 808 and the kick , is there a setting i can change to make this correct? this question probaly been asked a few times on here and theres probaly a answer around , but i just dont know what the term is to search for it? any help is much appreciated.

I just figured it out, the machine is only 3 days old i dont think itd be the pads lolol. but just incase is it hard to change pads???

Well basically what i did was i played the snare, the kich with the 1/16 note on then when i wanted to play the hi hats i turned the Note off and i was able to play the hi hats the way i wanted ? im tottaly new tothe mpc world so ur most likely right. Is there a way to do it without turing the note off??

i dont really get the question. but as long as your drums are trimmed right, everything should be on point if u quantize. If you turn note off then everything will play back exactly as u played it.

Ok sorry about the crazy question.
Heres the Deal When i try to record the hi hats with the note set to 1/16 or 1/32, i play them as i want it to sound. but when i go back to listen to it its sounds very robotic and doesnt have the same grooveto it , but when i turn the Note off it records the same identical way that i played it. Am i doing this wrong by turning the note off? the same goes with for instance a chord hit if i play it with the note on 1/16 the same thing happens it doesnt record the same way i play it. But when i take the Note off it playsit the same identical way as i wanted it to.. Someone please help me out i dont mind reading the manual i just dont know what to look for..

if u want everything to be exactly on point then quantize it at 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 or whatever. If u dont want it to be exactly on point then turn to the note off and play it.
