Im still hella new to tha mpc and all that...so I JUST finished my first beat..Im feelin' it..everybody I played it for is feelin' it....now I wanna here it on disc and all that...I've got tha sequences layed out how I want them in song mode and all that...but see I dont have a computer..Ima have to go to my girls house to do that....but its gone be like a week...so before that I was wonderin'...what do you do to get it into a song mode on tha computer? Is it gonna be in a song format already..where it just plays threw and I can through it on a burn disc...or is there otha things I got to do first?

And also ..what exactly is choppin'? ..everyone talks about it, but im SUPER newbie..and I've been tryin' to figure it out on my own..but I dont really get it..what tha goal is...and good techniques on how to do it..so if someone can explain these things for me I'd appriciate it...thanks..

How are you typing this if you don't have a computer?

Chopping is taking a sample and "chopping" it into smaller pieces.

For example:

You have a drum break. it goes BOOM BAP BOOM BOOM BAP. You would "chop" it so that it's now
BOOM
BAP
BOOM
BOOM
BAP
and each one of those hits could be assigned to a different pad/tweaked to your liking.

Do your homework, son.

First of all, you won't get it into "Song Mode" on the PC. You need to record into your PC what you play in the MPC. "Song Mode" is only a tool to help you arrange your sequences how you like. You still need to record them through your soundcard for example.
