WHAT STANTON GEAR WORKS BEST WITH MPC1000?

I'M GOING TO BUY SOME TURNTABLES AND A MIXER FOR MY MPC1000...
I WENT TO STANTON.COM AND CHECKED OUT WHAT THEY GOT AND THEY GOT THESE DJ PACKAGES... DJ LAB 1, 2, AND 3...
AND I'M NO RICHIE RICH SO WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK IS MY BEST DECISION IF I'M TAKING INTO ACCOUNT PRICES, BUT AT THE SAME TIME I DONT WANT NO MEDIOCRE ASS GEAR.

i personally have owned the gemini spin master set for 6 years and it holds me well. just make sure when you buy a beginner pack, replace the needles immediatly because if you into cutting and stabbing the needle rip off faster than the record is stabbed and thats no good if you doing something you dont wanna do again and your just about done and the needle flys off.

the spin master ran me about 275 for 2 turntables and a cetral mixer(barley any features but still good) i got all the cables too.

my suggestion is to go with gemin they got some good products, but go with what you like, everyones differen. numark has good packs too.

siko - don't sleep on "mediocre ass gear."
i use the shttiest turntable, cheap stanton 505 needle, and a really random mixer (the numark cm100) that i found for free in school surplus...



nothing fancy, nothing wonderful, yet i still get clean clear recordings good enough to use in my sampler. and even if not, who cares? let it become part of your sound.

buy cheap gear and learn it - earn the sound instead of paying for it.

word, a turntable is a turntable for sampling, dont worry about what kind unless your really gonna be doin some scratching or whatever

Yeah I sample using a crappy belt drive turn table and a very very old mixer I scored of a friend of mine, and I still get some pretty good sounds.

dont get any turntable that is belt driven. just dont.
the st-80s are alright. but only alright.
stanton mixers are good. i still have my sa-8 (favorite mixer) and i used to own a sa-12 (loved it) traded for sa8 with my friend though.. but yeah. no belt drivens.. unless your only planning on buying one turntable specificaly for sampling from.. otherwise stayyy awayyyyy!

What do you need two turntables for if you don't mix? For the sake of sampling buy just one, and as far as mixing is concerned, any mlixer with phone preamp will do the job...

I DON'T MIX BUT I WILL THATS WHY I NEED TWO... AND I WANT TO BE ABLE TO SCRATCH WITHOUT TROUBLES..
