motif rack how to question..

motif rack how to question..

hi im thinkin buyin a motif key. but i was wondering if i get a motif rack, how do i use? by connecting it to a midi controller? any info ASAP would help cuz im supposed to buy one soon.!

If you get a motif rack u will need a midi controller to use it. You can either use an actual midi controller keyboard or any keyboard with MIDI I/O on it to control it. To be honest u could use any device that has MIDI I/O on it to control the motif. But a keyboard would be better to use.

I have the beast.....I use a couple of different keyboard controllers and a WX5 MIDI wind controller with it. Aside from a really bad users manual and having to save a program before starting your sequencer I like it. (The program reverts back to thre default every time your sequence starts so if you make changes as you go and then forget to save you lose them all. Since none of my other modules / keyboards do this I am constantly futzing this one up. I'm used to saving at the end of a session...not every time I tweak a parameter....)
