Well, as stated, Im new to all this and have some questions about buying an MPC.
1. Besides the MPC, for a beginner, is there anything else I need to start off making beats. I realize that there are other things that can be added in order to improve your beats and I hopefully plan to buy them as I progress, but for now, id like to do things slow. The way I see it, an MPC and a source for audio files (for me it being a computer) is good enough to get started. Oh, and a speaker/s for the audio.
2. Is the MPC more of a stand alone system or can it be combined with say fruity loops in order to improve things. Like can I do all the work on the MPC and fix anything I need on say fruity loops or any other program. I have fruity loops (still new to that too) and have seen how the MPC would do wonders in helping out.
Yea, guess thats it. Im pretty much tight on budget, aiming right now for the MPC 1000 and dont want to meet any unnecessary costs. Also, I know as much as say a child knows when they see you using an MPC, that you can sample beats and add drums to them, speed them up, or anything else, and know the technical specs too, but as far as possibilities and limitations, thats where I get lost. Anything other information i should need to know would be helpful.
Also, sorry if this has been posted before or something, I tried to search and when I saw I had around 3000 pages of results, I just said eff it. Sometimes you need to know for yourself and ask your own questions to better understand. And sorry if it sounds "noobish", but meh, I guess if I dont ask, wont know for sure....
