Sample Slice

In this video this guy does exactly what I want to do. I have the same setup as him now and I just need to figure out how he sliced the sample up in the trim section? That way each slice went to a diffrent pad. If someone could point me to a page in the manule or explaine if theres a trick to doing it. Because it seems he did it very very quick Thnaks for the help. Heres the link

I'm at work so I can't check the video but my guess would be he's using the zone menu, adjust the number of zones and their start and end points and than edit > slice sound with creating a new program.

there's no science to it. he probably just uses zone edit like reckone said. selects the start and end points, hits edit and saves the sound. I usually chop all the parts I want out first then start assigning them to pads in the PROGRAM screen after.

i havent seen the video so im assuming this is what he does.

I guess the guy in the video read the manual, especially the part that talks about zone editing.

Your proally right. I did to but I didnt understand that part. Everyone but peter thanks for the help, I hope he isnt an expert member because he tells people to read the manule when all I wanted was a page number that way I could reread it.

Ya I got it working perfect but how do I move a program that way it wont be in drum 1 because I cant play two prgrams at a time? Is that normal?

the 2000 cant play two programs at a time. just highlight the program name and hit open window > new program.

not sure about page numbers but wouldnt hurt to read up more

Well how is it that I can play 2 programs on my mpc? I got a program in one sequence and another in a diffrent one. Im done with this thread tho thatnks for the support!

im sure you can switch between programs on each sequence but you cannot play two programs simult. (at the same time).

i could be wrong but all these years owning a 2000 and I missed this feature? hmm..
