mpc1000/midi

i have an mpc1000 and a yamaha mm6 i am goning 2 buy the lexicon audio/midi interface.i need 2 know how can i play the sounds from my mm6 and add it 2 a sequence on the mpc1000 using midi i want 2 use any sound from my mm6 and add it 2 to a track.and if anyone can tell me the proper way 2 setup the midi connections.anyones help would be very great so i can start making that hot fire thanks.
