can u hook a midi keyboard up 2 fruity loops and connect the midi out 2 the midi in of the mpc 1000. and record the sounds fruity loops into 2 the mpc with out sampling the sounds or loops u play? is this possible?

No, recording audio is sampling.

And with midi u cant record audio.

you can use the mpc as a controller and record the sounds from fl into the mpc. yes, i do it all the time

that's not recording 'sounds' though. the only information the mpc records in this case is note date and controller data.

if you route a set of instrument lines out of your soundcard/mixer into mpc, and record to an audio track or record screen, you can.

oh, i see, he just stated midi out to midi in. megaman, you are going to need some instrument cables as well, since midi doesnt transfer audio, as stated by everyone else here. but then you should be fine.
