Its the mpc 2000 classic trying to read the system disk v1.72 but i keep getting a "disk read error".

I tried downloading a second version from akaipro's website but when i tried to load it the screen immediately says "no system file". Also tried unzipping the file.

Im a total noob in case u didnt already figure that out. :?
but if anybody thinks they know whats up please help brotha out.

 is there anybody out there with an undamaged copy of the mpc 2000 standard system disk v.1.72?

Ok, what exactly did you put on the disk? The .sys or the .exe file? I'm not exactly familiar with the 2000 update procedure, but I guess you will have to execute the .exe file to produce a new system floppy OR copy the .sys file to the floppy.

Just unzip the 2 files (mpc2000.exe and mpc2000.sys) onto a floppy and you should be good.
