No sound out of the pads

I load my drum kits and press the pads and nothing. Silence. Though I can load a sequence and it plays just fine. Pads not responding. anything on this?

I restored the default settings and it worked!! just goes to show you how much i love this board though. first reaction to panic was to ask my fellow beat makers on the page.
