Just find a nice loop from a song, assign it to a pad and go to the main screen. Hit the pad and tap the Tap Tempo button to get your tempo (set the Tap Average setting to 4 in OTHER mode). You'll wanna figure the length of the loop in Bars. After you do that, set the bars on the main screen to the length of your loop and press rec/play start and hit the pad too record your loop. Pay attention to see if the Tempo of the sequence will cut off your loop too early or if there is a gap between the end of your loop and the beginning of the start of the loop when the tempo comes back around to the start of the sequence. After that adjust the tempo up if there's a gap and down if the sequence cuts the loop off too soon. After you get that straight, get yourself some drums goin' and you got a nice beat for you or someone to spit to. Instant Hip Hop. I love it!

the most basic on a 4/4 bar is kick-snare-kick-snare.

work off that, thats what im leaning how to do :D

put your sample on top first though, so you know how to make your drums, with the melody
