Regions & slicing samples

I've about to stop being lazy and start using the mpc to chop samples up instead of sound forge and cool edit. Problem I've read the manual but still cant figure it out I've divided a sample into 6 regions then went to the trim screen and one shot the sample, then went to the edit screen and sliced the sample to a new program..... Now when I go to the main screen and hit the pads I get no sound but when I'm in any other screen the pads play what tha hell did I do wrong? anybody

Simple go to main screen and assign the program to a part. Really read the manual it is not that hard.
