I am having problems loading enough sounds/samples onto my MPC2K. I can't even fill a padbank with sounds, even if they're chopped up real short or are really small files. I can only assign a few sounds at a time before it says "not enough memory". That can't be right, can it? I unscrewed my ish and changed the RAM so I have 16MB ram in each of the SIMMs slots (like it says in the manual to expand memory). Technically, I should have 32Mb (or 30Mb, minus internal 2Mb on the CPU), right? But after, it shows only 1900K of free memory for sounds and 595K for sequences. still. What should I do? Am I doing something wrong or forgetting to do something? Surely, it isn't supposed to be like this, right? Please help a brova out. thanks, ez n much respect peoples.
