Ok so heres the deal...

I pretty much always produced sample beats, but I have been trying to dabble with composing as well, but heres my problem..

I mainly use my MPC for everything when sampling but now with composing it opens up many other additions midi, PC etc...

Now I have linked up my midi controller with the mpc and I have been dabbling with reason and fruity loops untill I figure which is going to be my go to guy...ANY HOW I am having the SAME problem with both and dont know how to fix it.....

I get a nice lil drum pattern rockin on the mpc or and then I load up a nice little VST or something and I can record 1 track into the mpc works fine...but as soon as I go to change the instrument and add a new track it will change the previous already recorded track.....

So how or what is my easiest way to fix this solution so that I can keep layering instrumentation on new tracks with out it changing the ones that were previously recorded....

Im feeling real newbieish today, because Im sure its a simple fix, but honestly its the little simple sh!t that always gets me...

anybody feel like droppin some knowledge on ya boy?

im thinkin maybe theres a way to add a new track in reason and assign it a different midi channel then the first..i never used reason (even though I have it) so im not sure how to freak it.

and try the same on the mpc. everything has to be on its own channel...

^^^ yea I found that to be the problem...

but the problem is I can not find any where on either reason/fruity to where you can change the channel since I am using my mpc as a master....

Its sure driving me nuts because Im sure it's an easy fix....It's just I have been trying to trouble shoot it for so long I have lost track of problem possibilities...

I can get one track recorded in the mpc perfect...its just setting up another channel/track so that I can keep layering is where the problem is...back to the drawing board lol...

^^^ damn why didnt I think of that....? lol...

nah but for real aint this about a beech...Ok now I I figured it out in reason how to route it and all was happy as hell so I figured I could figure it out in fruity but for the life of me I cant which isnt all bad because I favor reason any how...BUUUUUUT my problem is with fruity I could use all my plug ins vsts like hypersonic etc. So my problem is how can I use reason and my plugins/vsts aswellIs this possible some which away??
