well its like this i started over i first loaded up the ak.sys cd then saved it to a new folder then i installed the sound library vol 0 cd i loaded it says 1700 samples were not loaded so that means its done then i saved it to a new folder, but i did this when i first got my mpc friday. you think i messed up my mpc4000 when i hit wipe volume? cis on my program list i got all the samples loaded and saved but on the pads when i hit it n sound comes out, maybe cus my mpc dont recongnize them sounds cus they been wiped out, but i been doing this and i dont get no sound. and i played the demo the cd comes with and i only hear the drums, u think this means i gots to go buy a sample cd on ebay sense i cant use these samples no more, i mean i already done this steps a bunch of times and i dont get no sounds for multis or program list or sequenses. i only can hear the drums from the aksys cd, but thats it.
this sucks
i mean there must be a way to get the volume back
well i dont know what to do

i mean jsut yesterday i made a beat and now i cant do nothing with out them samples. thats my luck
and then i cant even find the customer support number it came with no number, i mean u got any ideas?

dang after 4 years i finally get the mpc4000 and this happends. they got me why they got the setting whipe volume , that that was to delete that song i didnt want and next thing i dont get no more sound from the sound librabry cd

so what that mean that i cant use that cd no more, that i need to get me a different cd with different samples?

dang i really likes this samples from the sound library cd thats a chame

well let me know if u got any more ideas
get at me
thanks man i really appreciate this

I think the problem is that the S6000 CD is a huge volume maybe over 1G and the most the MPC can load is the 512MB. I may be wrong but you wouldnt be able to load all the samples.

It looks like you didn`t load in the programs.

Basically do this.

On the load screen set DISK: S6000.

View: Programs

Press Do it with Program set to Program+Samples

Do not press clear button just press do it.

If you can load one then do set program one by one.

Once the program is in your mpc. Go to main page

OUT1: Part Part: 1-Rich Strings

Make sure you press select button and see what happens.

Yes the s6000 has all the sounds. Aksys is the program for transferring data from your desktop computer to your mpc. Load Aksys to your computer only not your 4k.

Back to s6000 Cd all the Multis, Programs and Sounds are on there.

Hmmn check list.

A Multi is on the 4k. Check!!

On multi list page press MIX button to go to MULTi MIX Page, on the mix page assign a program to each part 1 Drums kit or whatever.

It should also say once you assign the program that it is a DR aka Drum or KG aka Keygroup program.

Go to Main page and the program should be auto assign to each part.

Now go to program list and press the KG MIx button at the bottom.

Now go all the way to Zone button and press it.

Now you should see the sample assigned to each pad in the program in zone one.

Go to the center where it says EDIT and change it from one to all.

Go to the bottom where it says Play mode and change this to ONE SHOT and hit the pads to check!!!

Go back to the main page and play and check if it works.

Good luck.
