New MPC's for 2008?

Well if this has been discussed im sorry

but a close friend of mind informed me that in 08 Akai will be presenting new MPC's to the music market.


I have no clue if this is true i doubt it but if it is should i wait to purchase?

To me it doesnt matter which mpc you use its how you use it.

But maybe new features will help push creativity to a new level?

Not sure just curious to this. Which MPC would you recomend to a producer new to the MPC game?

id get one now for a couple of reasons.

1. you wont have to wait for 2008 to buy, and get familiar with your MPC. if you buy one now, by 2008 you'll know how to work with your mpc pretty well.

2. you can buy an mpc1000/2500xl for hundred cheaper. like 50% off. you wont find those deals on the brand new 08 models at least for a few months until alot of people buy them from stores and decide they dont need it/want it.

yeh JJOS is alredy fully functional and gives you the same kinda power on the 1000 as the 2500 so its cheap, powerful and you can buy one now
