Get the mpc1000/2500 to read Floppy?

Would this be possible? I have ALOT of old floppies with all my beats from back in the days. Would it be possible to connect a floppy drive via USB?
Could JJ code this or is it impossible because of the hardware in the machine?

No you can't hook up a USB Floppy to the MPC. You need to use MPC Editor.

But I mean it can read compact flash, couldn't you somehow get the usb to read a drive and not only to be 'read' by a computer?

Nah - The MPC can only be 'slaved' to a computer - You could get a USB floppy reader for your computer -

- transfer files from the floppies to the computer- then transfer them to the MPC over USB - thats the only way I can think of....
