unloading samples/programs without shutting down system

my question is pretty much what i listed in the header.

sometimes i'll load a kit thinking i might use it. but after using it i decide that it doesn't work.

how can you unload a program and its samples from memory without having to re-boot? unloading a program and its samples would free up space to choose something else and continue working.

i saw the PURGE feature. but it appears that just removes samples that are not associated with any programs. that not what i'm looking for.

any help would be appreciated.

what exactly are you looking for? there are a couple of ways you could do it, but the quickest would be to simply delete the pgm or pgms that you do not want and then hit "purge"! all samples belonging to whatever pgm(s) you have active(have not deleted) will remain in memory. those samples that belonged to deleted pgm(s) will be erased from memory! hope that helps. peace

well simply deleting the program will not delete the sounds associated with that program which is what purge would do.

but you can go into TRIM mode and highlight the name field and hit open window. from there you can delete the individual sounds or ALL sounds
