Hey, Im just basically trying to figure out which is the best for sampling, can you just sample a Mono L or Mono R and pan it out to sound like its stereo and hits on both speakers?

is stereo good for drums, while mono is better for instruments?

I'm not sure if I made a good question or if I'm just going to get ripped now for asking, but Im too busy enjoying 9th's Gods Stepson at the moment, so say something to help or hate :D

THANKS YA'LL

hey dude,

as a rough guide - i keep drum one shots as mono, and any bass samples
as mono.

chopped breaks stay stereo, and most instrument samples.

experiment. it can be easier to create a deeper stereo field with mono samples,
where stereo samples can often muddy up some frequencies they share...
but with careful mixing these things can be avoided too.

good luck bro!
