After searching thru the forum and both the pro tools manual along with the MPCs (Which to be honest contained nothing of any use whatsoever) i realise that your able to Slave MPC to pro tools Via MIDi Beat clock but i will need the jj operating system to do it Vice Versa......Guess thats my next option even thought its pretty Stable as is........!!!!

every mpc comes default with beat clock. it's not exclusive for the jj.

...... but at the time of my original post i wasnt even aware that there existed an alternative OS, so being a pro tools veteran but only a novice MPC user id assumed that the Pairing Up of both Pro Tools and the MPC would have been pretty painless and in truth using the midi beat clock method it was. But from what ive come to gather the linking of the 2 via Midi time code or Midi Machine Code can only be accompliced using the jj 4.9 version operating system and not the standard Akai one am i wrong in this assumption....?

Not true, it is just always a battle until you get the sequence of it all down...

best to write down all your settings for the first week until you get it right away every time.
