hey, this might sound like a really newbie question, but i just cant seem to get over the fact that the manual doesnt go out an say HOW TO USE YOUR MPC 500 AS A MIDI CONTROLLER.
i read the hooking mpc up to other things like keyboards ect. but i want to use it as a midi controller, like a mpd or a triggerfinger!
im trying to hook it up to acid pro 5 and battery 3 so i can use the battery 3 to make drum sequences, but battery 3 doesnt work in acid unless i have a midi controller and i dont have one, i just have an mpc 500!
IF this could be done, would i need like a MOTU fastlane multi-midi thingi then connect the outs and the ins and such? or could i just use a usb cable?
would i need to buy software to map out the notes such as the m-audio enigima software that came with the triggerfinger?
any help would be greatly appreciated! this is really frustrating me. and please, dont flame on me for asking this, everyone has to start somewhere and i dont know anyone else i can ask!
thanks again in advance
