ive got some questions about how you guys use fades.

when you chop something up, (i use soundforge) do you insert fades in the beginning and the end on everything?

ive been expirimenting with them a little bit, i got rid of most of the pops and clicks in my last beat but am still new to adding fades. i was using about 10 miliseconds of fadeage... when i add them to both sides of the chop, should i hear a click in it when i loop play it in soundforge or should wait until i dump the samples in the mpc?

do you put fades on the raw samples or do you automate them in the peice during the mixdown and editing on your daw?

how big are your fades? i guess if you have the track playing in the same sequence as it was on the record or whatever, then theoretically yoiu wouldent have to use fades, just have perfect timing whenever you hit the tracks. but when you switch it up, you use fades... am i right?

any input would be greatly appreciated.
