hello
i've decided to buy an mpc.
why? because i'm looking for a more easily way to create a beat.
i'm looking for something easy to use that let my instinct to create something.
i'm usually frustrated about spending hours to manage samples, cut here there, and programming thing with mouse that than when i listen to it.. well seems always that something is missed.. that the guitar/bass/synths and beat are two distinct thing.. too separated.
i've read here and there.. i'm looking for something very expressive where i don't lose my time finding thing, solving problems, but JUST PLAY.
the first choose is for mpc 500 because i've thought .. i don't need anything.. just good pad and simple easy to use interface.. i don't need tracks.. maybe i need some good sounding fx and generally a good sounding sampler.
reading here and there.. i've seen a lot of different opinion.
my opinion, before, was that all mpc are the same and the difference is for the amount of features.
almost all says that mpc 500 is like shit.. that pads in 500 and 1000 are bad.. and this is not a good point, i mean if it is just for dimensions i think i can do the same.. but the sensitivity is important, is one of the think i can find in a mpc.
than the usability.. i've read that 500 and 1000 are very complicated, specially 500 i've read that you pass more time ti avoid to destroy good pattern that you have make than the time you create good thing.
i want an instrument not a trap for my fingers.
i've a computer for that. want i want to be frustrated.
so.. what are your advise? are that things true or not?
the choice is for 2000xl.. but i'm a bit scared to buy it used.. because i think i can pay it and receive something defected or with pads not in great shape.. yes in ebay always says that are in great shape.. but i'm a bit scared.
and if i buy it i want a version with all expanded, 8 out, 32mb, and possibily the zip reader via usb, because if i have to do that in future here in italy.. i think i spend more to mount them to the assistance than the mpc cost.
and also to find a mpc 2000xl i have to buy it from usa or germany or uk.. but in germany and uk the price are too high.. also here in italy, obviously, and than is difficult to sell it if have some trouble..
so i don't know if buy a 500 a 2000xl or a 2500.. the last one is really expansive.. but seeing the video on youtube it seems that you can do all very quickly..
yes but on you tube i've seen also people with 500 do things very quickly and interesting.
so what is your advise?
