Great sound and very powerful. If you use the upper line libraries you won't be disappointed.

The more reviews I read about it, seems like its a mpc4000 in a rackmount, with its 26 filter types...

You're right. It's not quite a 4k but close. It's the predecessor to the Z/8.

Im keeping a eye on ebay for one, I want to do all my sample editing on it then resample and sequence everything into my mpc3000.

Why would you want to complicate you work flow like that ?

Well, i mean where the mpc3000 lacks the s6000 would help my workflow- effects, looping, timestrech, internal hardrive, waveform chopping, all the differnt filter types, etc. Of course I would midi the two when in my lab, but on the road the to my friends studio or wherever, Id rather just travel with the mpc by throwing whatever samples were tweaked in the s6000 into the 3000 and go.

:o  I changed my mind, I will just stay with my asr10/mpc3000 combo. There's no way in hell i can sell my asr for a s6000. NO WAY
