Loop Function for a layman

I have an MPC2000 and am having trouble understanding the loop function. I have the manual and have read it but I am still having trouble figuring it out. I'm not sure what exactly the to, length, and loop length inputs actually mean. Can someone help explain this to me, a relative newcomer to the MPC in laymen's terms ?

have you tried punching some values into those fields and seeing what it does?

thats a good way to figure it out. i cant really help with this function. I dont really use it. but why not try yourself and see?
