Slicing and Chopping? HELP!

Slicing and Chopping? HELP!

Hello guys. I just bought my Mpc 2000 and I know this may sound a little/very rookie'ish to you pro's out there, but I can't figure out how to slice my samples in more than one slice. I want to know how to slice a sample and put single stabs and sound to each pad help me out thanks

For the regular 2k,not xl? If that's the case, the 2k you have to chop it all manually. I do it by going to the zone section of the trim screen. You set your str and end point. Then hit edit and copy to new sound. You do that for every chop you want then go to the program screen and put the notes on the pads you want.

Nice i get it now but wait i managed to chop 1 part up and then i tried the next but it said that the name of the file already exist even though i changed it ? why is that?
