Sup Peeps,

I'm pretty new to this whole thing... that is, the FORUMS world. I've been messin with MIDI for a while now. So I like to think I have a good understanding..... but there is MUCH to learn.

I have an MPC1000, Trigger Finger, Ableton Live 6, Sonar 4 Producer, ACID6, Sound Forge9, ProKeys 88 (M-Audio Midi Keyboard) and of course my Monitoring System. the Question is this.......

What THE Hell do I do with all this Stuff!!! lmao!! I love all this ish** but rarely get an opportunity to spend enough time on it...(that's what happens when you got a fam to look out for...) The MPC1000 is the newest member....

-- Is there a unique use between the MPC1000 and a DAW like SONAR???

And ...

-- Is there a way to use the VST Soft Synths and VST Plug-ins installed in Sonar with the MPC??? Can I controls those from the MPC1K?

Thanks guys... I realize this may be a dumb question... but I appreciate you takin a look. Thanks in advance for those that respond!! PEACE. 8)

Dude, that's a really good question, you've got a lot of gear around yourself, no wonder you're lost with it all.

I say, concentrate on learning them through and through 1 by 1 as long as it takes. Learn MPC1000 and Ableton Live properly and you're on your way to stardom. ;-)

Oh forgot to answer to the MIDI question. Yes, you can control your VSTs with the MPC you need a MIDI box (or a soundcard that has midi in and out) between the PC and the MPC.

Hey MTC,

Thanks for taking the time to respond bro. I appreciate it. i DO have a lot of gear... I love the stuff though!!!

So do you think the MPC and ABLETON could work best together?? I've tried to use it with the Trigger Finger, but it got a little confusing when it came time to assign the knobs!! grrr. it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be.

Thanks again for the reply. 8)
