How can Reason see MPC1k AND x-station controller?

Hey guys,

I know this topic has been totally worn out by now, but for some reason, I cant get my head round this.. Finally, i got my MPC1000 with what I think is the jjos 4.3 or 6 (i'm not in front of it now..) already installed.


My Gear so far:
Intel iMAC 24"
Novation xstation 25
Reason v4
Logic Pro 8 (cant use this yet but hope to soon)

Ive seen sparq1g youtube vid, but What I want to be able to do for now is connect my setup together to they can see and talk to each other.

I want to make drum patterns on the MPC and bring into reason to add synths/fx/whatever

I think my problem is the cabling.


what I think should work is:-
midi-out: MPC1k --> midi-in: x-station 25
midi-in: MPC1k --> midi-out: x-station 25
USB: x-station 25 --> intel iMAC


Reason doesnt want to play with this, but I've read that I'd need an audio interface which I think the x25 has one built in..

Sorry to put the burden here, Any help GREATLY apprieciated
