How can you get rid of all the preset samples and programs (eg top gun, CDS) on the MPC500? Its proving a lot harder than i thought. especially with about 16Mb RAM i haven't got a lot of headroom.

:shock: What? that sounds like you have no memory installed if 16 megs is all that's on that machine.

But if you're speaking of 16 megs left, out of whatever, then yeah you'll have to delete something.

You May Not Be able to Delete From the mpc's h.d. but you can turn the hard drive off...that worked for me.

The 500 comes with 16MB standard, so the kits they probably put on Autoload would take away something from that.

And no, you don't "turn off" your harddrive (the 500 does not even have a HD?). You just turn off Autoload and make sure you don't have a CF card with an Autoload folder in when powering up.
