HOW DO I TRANSFER A FULL BEAT FROM MPC1000 TO MY COMPUTER??

I got the MIDI cable and everything but was wondering if theres like a button on the mpc i hit to convert to WAV or something.

it all depends on how u want to do it , the midi cable only transfers data...NO AUDIO AT ALL ! basically the midi cord allows u to sync what ever recording program u use to the mpc so when u record ur mpc audio the two will rec/play at the exact same time. if u got all ur levels the way u want it in the mpc and u just want a strait audio file (WAV) , then use resampling method . connect the two main stereo outputs to ur two record in inputs(hit mode, pad 5 , and change ur input in the upper left hand side from analog to MAIN OUT , set ur record time the the length of the beat and rock out ).

Just connect the main outs of the mpc to your soundcards' inputs. Then record this into your DAW program or editor.
I use SoundForge to handle this for me since I can save it to a .wav or mp3 file. I doubt if you'll need a midi cable for this, only when you're tracking.
