Hello, I'm new the forum, and have a question that hopefully some people can help me out with.

I currently have an Mbox, pro tools, a roland VS-880, a Korg n364, and my dj equipment.

I would say most of my work is DJ centric (remixes, mixtapes) but I also am starting to get into making beats more and more. Lately I have been seriously thinking about selling my N364 and getting an MPC 2000xl and a Alesis MICRON instead. My wife and i currently are college students, and I don't plan on seeing an increase in income for a few years.. hence the need to trade my N364 for the MPC and Micron rather then just saving up for an MPC.

So is it a good move? keep my curren setup or trade the Korg N364 for a MPC 2000xl and a Alesis Micron?

Any input is appreciated!
pat

From what I see an MPC + Alesis would suit your production style more than the Korg workstation. so yes I'd say go for it.
